Domaine Thierry Mortet : Chambolle Musigny 2018
The Chambolle Musigny 2018 from Thierry Mortet estates is made from vines from a single plot of 22 ares, planted on clay-limestone soil with a texture of very fine clays. The 45-year-old vine produces 8 to 10 hl of production, representing only around 1000 to 1200 bottles per year.
The Estate has been converted to organic farming since 2007. Harvesting is done manually, with sorting in the vineyard by the pickers themselves, then a second sorting is carried out in the winery on the sorting table.
The wines are then distributed in the barrels: aging 1/3 new barrels, 1/3 Barrels of one wine, and 1/3 barrels of 2 wines. The cuvée is blended at the time of bottling after more than 16 months of aging.
The dress is ruby red, lively and bright. The nose The nose reveals notes of violet and small red fruits. With aeration, notes of undergrowth, truffle and more animal nuances complete the first bouquet. The mouth On the palate, the wine is fine and elegant. The aromatic bouquet is fully expressed through a melted and silky tannic structure.
The advice of 12bouteilles: A goldsmith cuvée that reflects the legendary finesse of the appellation's vintages. A real great Chambolle Musigny
