Burgundy - Gevrey Chambertin - Red Wine -

Gevrey Chambertin 2017 by Thierry Mortet is produced on around twenty plots spread over 3 hectares. These vines are planted on clay-limestone soils of different textures: stony, marly soils, or on rocks. The age of the vines varies between 10 and 50 years. Production is around 45 Hl / Hectare, and represents an average of 18,000 bottles to be sold.

The Estate converted to organic farming in 2007. The wines are aged for more than 16 months 1/3 new barrels, 1/3 barrels of one wine, and 1/3 barrels of 2 wines. The cuvée is blended at the time of bottling.

Tasting note:
The color is ruby ​​red with carmine reflections.
The nose The nose reveals a complex aromatic bouquet of small red fruits, notes of violet and rose, nuances of spices, liquorice and undergrowth.
On the palate, the wine is full, full-bodied and structured with tannins with fine and silky grains.

The advice of 12bouteilles: This Gevrey Chambertin is appreciated in its youth with red meat, a good rib steak, after a few years it is very suitable on meats in sauce and game, as well as with cow cheeses.
