Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots 2023 is one of the most powerful and structured wines from Rémi Jobard. This renowned Premier Cru, located mid-slope and lower on the Meursault hillside, produces a Chardonnay of remarkable depth, combining richness, minerality and tension. The 2023 vintage delivers a precise, vibrant and profoundly expressive Poruzots.
Appearance: bright gold with green tinges.
Nose: ripe lemon, peach, baked apple, white flowers, almond, wet chalk and subtle smoky notes.
Palate: dense, structured and layered. Generous texture lifted by brilliant mineral tension. Flavours of candied citrus, white fruits, hazelnut and flint. Long, deep, vibrant and persistent finish.
Premier Cru located in the central part of the Meursault slope. Marl-limestone soils give power and structure. Certified organic farming. Natural fermentations. Aging on fine lees in barrels (moderate new oak), followed by settling in tank to retain energy and precision.
Perfect with seared scallops, roasted turbot, creamy Bresse poultry, mushroom risotto or aged Comté. Serve at 52–54°F (11–12°C).
A monumental Meursault: powerful, mineral and incredibly deep. Cellar for 10 to 20 years for full expression. Aerate 20–30 minutes when young.
