Loire - Menetou Salon - White Wine -In this 2022 vintage, Domaine Jean Teiller presents its Menetou‐Salon Rencontre Blanc 2022, which stands out as one of the authentic expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, derived from the unique terroir of Menetou-Salon. Bathed in the influence of the sun and south-west facing slopes, this white wine reflects the purity and freshness characteristic of this estate. Here is the tasting we conducted:
The Appearance: Brilliant gold-yellow, revealing exceptional luminosity.
The Nose: Mineral and exotic, with notes of pineapple and passion fruit, enhanced by a subtle vanilla touch, offering a captivating complexity.
The Palate: Powerful and gourmet, with a lively and generous attack that gives way to a round and balanced finish, where tart and slightly sweet flavors harmoniously blend.
This 2022 vintage is the result of meticulous work. The hand-harvested grapes, picked at optimal ripeness in mid-September, preserve the aromatic integrity of the Sauvignon Blanc. The must is delicately extracted by filling the press with a mat and performing a gentle head pressing, followed by cold racking. The fermentation, carried out at low temperature with indigenous yeasts in various tanks, ensures the pure expression of the terroir. Racking occurs one year after the harvest, complemented by an aging period of 6 months in the cuvée, thus conferring structure and complexity to the wine. This wine is certified Organic and Biodynamic (Biodyvin).
