Côte Rôtie La Landonne 2020 is the very great vintage of Jean Michel Gerin, winemaker based on the Côte-Rôtie for 6 generations. Extremely rare since the plot of the Gérin family on the Landonne is only 0.4 Hectare.
It is an unmissable Côte-Rôtie vintage, undoubtedly one of the largest in the legendary plot of the Landonne where Jean Michel Gérin vinifies alongside the Guigal family, Delas vineyards and René Rostaing.
Tasting Note:
The Dress: Intense red
The nose: notes of ripe black and red fruits as well as spices
Palate: Racy, of rare complexity. The tannins are firm, pledge of an impressive aging potential, this rare cuvée can age for 10 years and more in the cellar.
A 5 * vintage rated 95-96/100 by Vinous, 94-96 / 100 by R. Parker.
The advice of 12bouteilles: The extremely rare cuvée of the Gérin family, this 2020 vintage Côte-Rôtie Landonne is undoubtedly one of the prettiest wines of the appellation. To forget in the cellar for a few years, to serve on game or braised red meat.
About the estate: From a family of winemakers living on the Côte Rôtie for 6 generations, Jean Michel Gérin is one of the great signatures of the Rhône that we are proud to distribute on 12bouteilles.com. His Côtes Rôties, Saint Joseph and Condrieu are all reference cuvées among the most precise and most chiseled in the Rhône valley.
