Rhone Valley - Côte-Rôtie - Red Wine -This Côte-Rôtie "Maison Rouge" 2020 is an excellent red wine, 100% Syrah produced by Domaine Georges Vernay. It comes from a parcel on the "Lieu-dit Maison Rouge" located in the south of the appellation on the granite part, an emblematic place offering a rare and unique representation of organic Syrah. The wine is aged for 24 months in barrels (30% of which are new) to give it an absolutely incredible class.

The robe: ruby-purple black
The nose: black fruits, oriental spices and smoke notes
The palate: silky and seductive, with notes of liquorice and cigar box
The advice of 12Bouteilles: Serve chilled 14°-16°C. A wine which will sublimate a game, a simmered red meat, or a beautiful cheese board.
Located in the Rhone Valley, the Domaine Georges Vernay owns 24 hectares of vines, including 17 on the hillsides, spread over 3 appellations: Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph but also 2 IGP Syrah and Viognier. A renowned family estate, it is renowned for its Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie. Since 1940, generations have succeeded one another and today Christine Vernay, daughter of Georges Vernay, is in charge of the property. Certified in organic viticulture, Christine has raised the estate and is recognized as an outstanding winemaker.
