Rhone Valley - Condrieu - White Wine -"Les Terrasses de l'Empire" 2021 AOP Condrieu is a 100% organic Viognier white wine produced by Domaine George Vernay. Made from small plots of land located on the steep slopes of Condrieu, facing South East on a biotite granite soil, this Viognier is an elegant wine, with great harmony and a beautiful freshness, which can be enjoyed in its youth.
Tasting notes:
The robe: gold
The nose: aromas of white peaches, apricots and almonds
The palate: notes of nuts, perfect balance between sweetness, roundness and aromas
The advice for 12 bottles: Serve chilled at 10°-12°C. A wine which will be perfect as an aperitif or with fish dishes.
The Georges Vernay estate is located on the upper slopes of the village of Condrieu. The soil is worked in the traditional way with organic farming. This typical wine is 100% viognier and is produced on 4.5 hectares of granite terraces. After ripening, the grapes are directly pressed. A small part is aged in barrels and the rest is aged in stainless steel barrels.
