Domaine Fabien Coche: Pommard Vieilles Vignes 2020
Burgundy - Pommard - Red Wine -Pommard Vielles Vignes 2020 is the result of a remarkable vintage made from 100% Pinot Noir. This great wine comes from old vines with very open, delicate and refined characteristics.
The sight displays a superb red/ruby color quite sustained with purple glints, typical of Pommard.
The nose is intense, complex but also very fruity. We feel notes of fruits of the woods (blackberry, blueberry, red currant, cherry) as well as a woody side.
The palate is elegant with fine tannins, melted and very pleasant. The mid-palate is perfectly balanced with a nice acidity where floral aromas compete with blackcurrant and redcurrant notes. The finish is long with a beautiful persistence of aromas associated with a unique freshness.
Created in 1940 and formerly known as Coche-Bizouard, the Fabien Coche estate cultivates all the nobility of the great wines of Burgundy.
Located in Meursault (21 Côte d'Or) this family estate has 12 hectares of vineyards spread over Meursault, Pommard, Auxey-Duresses, Mothélie, Saint-Romain, Saint-Aubin and Puligny-Montrachet.
Domaine Fabien Coche uses traditional methods for the production of its wines: vineyard work, maturing, bottling... in order to guarantee an exceptional production. Preserving the nature of the soils is one of the main concerns of Fabien Coche who has been working organically for several vintages already. It is therefore quite natural that a request for organic certification has been made from the 2020 harvest.
The advice 12bouteilles: This parcel-based cuvée will go perfectly with a spicy beef sauté, partridge with ceps or farmhouse reblochon. It can be kept for 8 to 10 years and can also be drunk young after decanting at a serving temperature of 18°C.
