Located in Meursault, this family estate has 12 hectares of vines spread over Meursault, Pommard, Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie, Saint-Romain, Saint-Aubin and Pulingny-Montrachet. Created in 1940 and formerly under the name Coche-Bizouard, the Domaine Fabien Coche cultivates all the nobility of the great wines of Burgundy. This is why he works all his wines with the same care, from the smallest to the most prestigious. This is how this Meursault "Le Limozin" 2020 is a real success, combining complexity, finesse and purity and balance.
The estate uses traditional methods for the production of its wines: vineyard work, maturing, bottling... each step is done in order to guarantee an exceptional production. Preserving the nature of the soils is one of the main concerns of this winegrower who has been working organically for several years. It is therefore quite natural that the request for organic certification was made in 2020.
In Burgundy as a whole, the 2020 vintage was quite hot and early but gave birth to airy wines with great ageing potential. The winemakers are unanimous on the quality of the 2020 vintage, the grapes are bursting with sunshine with a complete ripening cycle allowing to preserve the balance so prized in Burgundy. The harvest was inaugurated by the Pinot Noir where the first juices reveal all the freshness and maturity of the grape.
The advice of 12Bouteilles: A great Meursault wine, which can be drunk in its young years, as well as in 5 to 10 years. To be drunk chilled (14°C), with fatty fish (salmon), a seafood platter, soft cheeses or even pastries.
