Les Pallières 2015, Terrasse du Diable
Rhone Valley - Gigondas - Red Wine -Les Pallières 2015, Terrasse du Diable is a great wine of Gidondas vinified on the Domaine des Pallières of the Brunier family who owns Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
This 2015 vintage is a pure marvel from a blend of black grenache 90%, mourvèdre 5%, Clairette 5%.
Tasting Note: In its youth, the vintage "Terrace of the Devil" carries in it the minerality, the freshness and the sometimes too marked tannins of the terroirs of altitude. Beautiful vintages have a potential of more than 20 years.
The dress: Bright purple.
On the nose: fragrant, a ripe cherry and a liquor of red fruits mingle with a smoky shade that develops in the background.
On the palate: Impressive power and depth on the palate, with candied raspberry and cherry flavors, complimented by notes of candied lavender and liquorice. Finely delicately tannic and of an impressive length, offering a solid punch.
The 2015 vintage has been rated 94/ 100 by Jeb Dunnuck:
The 2015s are also brilliant, and if not for the 2016s, I’d say best yet. The 2015 Gigondas Terrasses du Diable sports a ruby color as well as considerable polish and elegance in its blackberry, black cherry, garrigue and mineral-drenched style. Full-bodied, concentrated, loaded with spice, and beautifully textured, it’s a knockout 2015 to drink over the coming decade.
The 12bouteilles tips : A sublime gigondas all in balance and finesse. A magical vintage with an impressive price-performance ratio
