Les Pallières 2015, Racines
Rhone Valley - Gigondas - Red Wine -Les Pallières 2015, Racines is a great wine of Gidondas vinified on the Domaine des Pallières of the Brunier family who owns Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
This 2015 vintage is a pure marvel made from a combination of Grenache Noir 80%, Syrah - Cinsault 15% (Complanted), Clairette 5%.
Tasting note: the "Racines" vintage, from the oldest vines in the estate, has the velvet, depth and harmony of old Grenache when grown on refined soils. Its aging potential is very important, the main factor being the balance.
Dress: deep ruby red
Nose: Black fruits, notes of scrubland
Palate: Perfect in balance and freshness, a vintage all in harmony under the sign of Grenache noir
The 2015 vintage was rated 91-93 / 100 by Wine Advocate:
The 2015 Gigondas Roots looks to be slightly superior to the Devil's Terraces at this point, and has a more minerality, dark fruit and garrigue in a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, even backwards style. It has depth and length, and will benefit from a few years in bottle
The 12bouteilles tips : A sublime gigondas all in balance and finesse. A magical vintage with an impressive price-performance ratio
