Le Vieux Télégraphe 2016, domaine du Vieux Télégraphe

The Vieux Télégraphe 2016 is an exceptional vintage of the Cru family Brunier Crau, a superstar of the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape in a magical vintage
This 2016 vintage is a pure marvel from a combination of Grenache Noir 65%, Mourvèdre 15%, Syrah 15%, Cinsault, Clairette and various other grapes up to 5%.
Tasting note: While elegant, the banner of the Brunier family is a perfect wine.
Dress: deep ruby red
Nose: subtle floral notes, dominant of black fruits and spices
Palate: Powerful but elegant, nice notes of fruit tannins present and delicate
The 2016 vintage has been rated 96/100 by Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
The flagship wine, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape, is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah and 5% other permitted varieties. It features delicate floral scents and ample cherry and licorice aromas. Somehow, it manages to be full-bodied and almost creamy in texture but without much weight, then it ends powerfully, with a flourish of rich Mexican chocolate on the long, silky finish. It should drink well for up to 20 years.
12bouteilles tips : A sublime Cru from the southern Rhône appellation, signed by the Brunier family. To open 2 hours before tasting on a piece of meat or game, it can be kept for at least 10 years.
