Burgundy - Volnay - 1er Cru - Red Wine -Exclusively owned by the Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, the Clos d'Audignac is a monopoly Premier Cru.
The 2018 cuvée is made from a 0.8 hectare plot of Pinot Noir facing north-east and from vines planted in 1966. It combines both richness and finesse for a wine with good balance and interesting ageing potential.
Tasting notes :
The dress : Ruby red with garnet reflections.
The nose: reveals aromas of violet, redcurrant and cherry. But also notes of spices and cooked prune.
The palate : We find an aromatic, concentrated and complex wine, with a lot of freshness.
The suggestion for 12 bottles : Serve it with roast poultry - Serve between 16°C and 18°C.
