Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, luminous purple with violet reflections.
Nose: intense and complex with blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, graphite, cedar, fine spices and subtle floral nuances.
Palate: broad, structured and beautifully balanced. Fine yet firm tannins support dense but elegant material. Saline freshness typical of Pessac-Léognan underpins the long and expressive finish.
Terroir & Blend
Pessac-Léognan’s deep gravel soils over clay-sandy subsoils ensure excellent drainage and optimal ripening. Blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Petit Verdot, bringing structure, complexity and finesse.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-picked grapes with strict sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification with extended, controlled macerations to extract depth and refinement. Aged in French oak barrels with a carefully calibrated proportion of new oak to enhance structure while preserving fruit purity.
Food Pairings
Perfect with grilled beef, lamb, game birds, roasted meats or fine gastronomy dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 2 hours when young to fully unlock aromatic complexity.
