In this 2024 vintage of Bourgogne Côtes Salines crafted by Domaine Gueguen, Chardonnay delivers a pure, mineral expression of the Kimmeridgian terroir of Préhy, in the Yonne. Here’s our tasting note:
The Appearance: pale yellow with a bright, clear hue.
The Nose: elegant and floral, showing notes of white blossoms, fresh almond, and toasted bread.
The Palate: lively and well-balanced, with great minerality reflecting the limestone-rich soils, finishing with a delicate hint of honey.
From a 6.7-hectare vineyard with 30-year-old vines, this wine is aged exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to retain its freshness. Natural vinification with indigenous yeasts and malolactic fermentation on fine lees bring complexity. It is gently filtered and bottled at the estate. The Bourgogne Côtes Salines is certified HVE level 3 for its sustainable viticulture practices.
Bright and saline, this white Burgundy showcases precision and purity with a perfect blend of floral elegance and mineral character.
12bouteilles’ Tip: Serve between 10 and 12 °C. Perfect as an aperitif or with seafood, grilled fish, or soft cheeses. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 3 years.
