Tasting notes :
The Colour: The colour of this Bourgogne Blanc is distinguished by its sparkling pale yellow hue, offering a luminous colour.
Nose: This wine has an elegant, expressive bouquet. It offers aromas of white-fleshed fruit, such as apples and pears, complemented by subtle citrus notes. Notes of white flowers and hazelnuts also stand out.
Palate: Fruity aromas predominate, with crisp green apple and lemon. A touch of invigorating minerality and subtle hints of vanilla and butter add complexity. The balance is harmonious, with well-integrated acidity and a pleasant finish.
This Bourgogne 2021 is a 100% Chardonnay. It comes from four parcels ("Les Belles Côtes", "Les Vaux", "Les Gelerands" and "Les Coutures") around 35 years old, located near the village of Meursault. This Chardonnay is matured for 18 months in barrels, 10% of which are new.
The 12bouteilles advice : Domaine Pierre Boisson's 2020 Bourgogne Blanc, perfect for seafood, grilled fish, light salads and soft cheeses, offers a pleasant taste experience and excellent value for money, whether you enjoy it immediately or after 3 to 5 years' ageing for greater complexity.
Located in Meursault, Domaine Boisson-Vadot is a hidden gem that every wine lover loves to explore. Following Bernard Boisson's retirement in 2016, the estate is now shared between his two children: Anne and Pierre. Both produce exceptional wines under their own names, bringing a touch of innovation while respecting the values established by their father.
Pierre Boisson owns 3.5 hectares of vines, including the famous 'Les Charrons' and 'Monthélie' plots. He chooses to age his cuvées for a very long time in old barrels so as not to leave any mark on the wine.
Anne Boisson owns 1.5 hectares of vines in the villages of Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. Her heritage has enabled her to become a true ambassador for the new generation of women winemakers in Meursault. She produces mainly white wines in the Bourgogne Aligoté appellation, as well as Meursault Premier Cru.
