Cuvée Faustine Vieilles Vignes Blanc 2024 is produced by Domaine Abbatucci as a Vin de France. It is made from a selection of plots from vines that are an average of 40 years old, and is produced using biodynamic methods. Faustine vieilles vignes is a 100% Vermentino cuvée, full of freshness, wild fruit and great sapidity.
Hand-picked when fully ripe and very early in the morning, each berry is rigorously sorted in the vineyard and then in the cellar, followed by direct pressing of the whole crop. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and the wine is matured on its lees for 6 months.
Tasting notes :
Appearence: Pale yellow colour with golden highlights.
Nose: Fresh and aromatic, with scents of white flowers and a hint of aniseed.
On the palate: Delicate, progressive aromatic perception with a hint of minerality. The wine develops towards petrol-like aromas.
12bouteilles advice: Ideal as an aperitif, Domaine Abbatucci Cuvée Faustine Vieilles Vignes Blanc 2024 goes perfectly with shellfish, fish and other cheeses. We suggest opening this wine 1 hour before tasting.
The Abbatucci estate is run by Jean Charles and Faustine Abbatucci, biodyamic winemakers with a passion for old Corsican grape varieties. Their aim: to produce wines in symbiosis with nature, revealing all the aromas of the terroir.
