Champagne Deutz Brut Rosé Millésimé 2019 is a characterful vintage rosé dominated by Pinot Noir and produced exclusively from the 2019 harvest. Following at least five years of maturation in the House's cellars in Aÿ, it reveals a generous yet precise profile combining strawberry, raspberry, cherry and redcurrant with vine peach, floral notes and subtle spice. The palate is broad and silky while retaining impressive freshness and a long, savoury finish.
Colour: bright, deep pink with salmon highlights and fine, persistent bubbles.
Nose: generous and expressive, showing ripe strawberry, cherry, blackcurrant and redcurrant alongside vine peach and delicate floral nuances.
Palate: broad and silky with crisp, juicy red fruit. Freshness beautifully balances the ripeness of the vintage, leading to a long, subtly spicy and savoury finish.
The blend comprises 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. The high proportion of Pinot Noir provides vinosity, structure and intense red-fruit character, while Chardonnay contributes freshness and precision. Grapes are selected from Champagne terroirs including Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bouzy, Cumières, Tauxières, Ludes, Avenay-Val-d'Or, Vertus and Bergères-lès-Vertus.
The 2019 growing season in Champagne was marked by warm, dry summer conditions. This ripeness is reflected in the intensity of fruit found in the Rosé Millésimé, while Deutz retains the freshness and finesse central to the House style. The result is more vinous than a non-vintage rosé without sacrificing balance.
The wine was bottled for secondary fermentation in June 2020 before spending at least five years in the Deutz cellars. Malolactic fermentation is completed and dosage is approximately 6.5 g/L. Extended maturation refines the mousse and builds textural complexity while preserving the brightness of the 2019 fruit.
Deutz Brut Rosé Millésimé 2019 received 93/100 from James Suckling, 92/100 from Wine Spectator and 92/100 from La Revue du Vin de France.
Serve at around 9-11°C. Its structure makes it particularly suitable for the table: salmon, tuna, red mullet, roast poultry, duck with red berries and veal all make excellent pairings. It is already expressive but can continue to develop for several years in the cellar.
Choose Rosé Millésimé 2019 for its combination of red fruit, vinosity and finesse. Deeper and more structured than the House's non-vintage Brut Rosé, it is particularly compelling as a gastronomic Champagne. Serve it in a generous wine glass to allow its aromatic complexity to unfold.

The regular Brut Rosé aims to maintain a consistent House style by blending different harvests. Rosé Millésimé 2019 is produced exclusively from the 2019 harvest and benefits from extended maturation. It offers greater structure and depth while providing a more specific expression of the warm 2019 vintage.
It is particularly suited to drinkers looking for a rosé designed as a gastronomic wine. Its high proportion of Pinot Noir and extended ageing provide enough substance to accompany a meal while retaining the finesse expected of a fine Champagne.
Yes. After more than five years of maturation in the House's cellars, it already offers an attractive balance of fruit, texture and freshness. Further bottle ageing should gradually move its fresh red-fruit profile towards more complex candied-fruit, spice and pastry notes.
Its vinous character allows more ambitious pairings than many rosé Champagnes. Try it with red mullet, tuna tataki, duck breast with red berries, roast poultry or delicately cooked veal. It can also accompany a lightly sweetened red-fruit dessert.
Decanting is unnecessary. Serve it in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass or generous white-wine glass and allow it to open naturally. A temperature of around 9-11°C preserves its freshness while allowing the red-fruit and floral aromas to develop.
Rosé Millésimé offers a more vinous, fruit-driven and structured expression centred on Pinot Noir. Amour de Deutz Rosé sits higher in the House's range and places greater emphasis on refinement, complexity and length. Rosé Millésimé is therefore an excellent introduction to Deutz's prestige vintage rosé Champagnes.
