Seigneur de Maugiron 2023 is one of Delas Frères’ signature Côte-Rôtie expressions. Sourced from the steep terraces of both the “Côte Blonde” and “Côte Brune,” this cuvée showcases the finesse, depth and floral elegance that define northern Rhône Syrah. The 2023 vintage delivers purity, aromatic precision and exceptional balance.
Appearance: deep garnet with violet highlights.
Nose: violet blossom, blackcurrant, wild blackberry, black pepper, smoked bacon, black olive and graphite.
Palate: silky and refined texture with fine, structured tannins. Flavours of ripe dark fruit, spice, floral notes and smoky minerality. Long, fresh and persistent finish.
Mainly Syrah with a small proportion of Viognier depending on the parcels. Granite and schist slopes. Hand-harvested. Traditional vinification with long macerations. Aging in oak barrels, including a measured portion of new wood.
Excellent with duck breast, veal chop, roasted pigeon, ribeye steak, slow-cooked lamb or mushroom risotto. Serve at 60–64°F (16–18°C).
A superb Côte-Rôtie: floral, smoky, complex and beautifully balanced. Enjoy after 1 hour of aeration or cellar 10 to 15 years for further refinement.
