Delas : Hermitage les Bessards 2016
This 2016 Maison Delas Hermitage is a fantastic wine! A rare vintage that produces a maximum of 8000 bottles a year and only in the great vintages.
In the eye, the dress is dark red, shiny and deep. The nose, of a great race, exhales sweet scents, black fruits and violets. The Hermitage "Les Bessards" has an extremely concentrated fruitiness on the palate. This wine impresses with its particularly dense and rich tannic structure, and its perfect balance.
94-97/100 - Jeb Dunnuck :
The 2016 Hermitage les Bessards offers more violets and floral notions, with hints of blue fruits and Cassis. Bull bodied richness and building, sweet, polished tannin. It's another ripe, opulent 2016 that's going to drink nicelly in its youth, yet age gracefully given its purity and balance. While a stemp back from the otherworldly 2015, this brilliant wine is one of the gems in the vintage.
92-94/100 - Robert Parker :
The 2016 Hermitage les Bessards is a gorgeous if somewhat easygoing expression of its terroir, combining savory notes of asphalt and smoked meat with plum and black raspberries. It shows the classic tannins of its granite bedrock, but they're firm rather than hard, suggesting this will be approachable relatively early.
12bouteilles tips : Red or cooked meats, game, marinated meats, stews. It is recommended to open the bottle one to three hours before consumption. This wine requires a minimum of three years of care to flourish and offer its complexity. Beyond this time of guard, the passage in carafe is highly recommended.
