Coulée de Serrant 2023 is one of the most iconic white wines in the world, produced from a 7-hectare monopole vineyard in Savennières. Fully biodynamic for more than 40 years, this 100% Chenin Blanc expresses unmatched depth, vibrancy and mineral precision. The 2023 vintage shows exceptional purity, ideal ripeness and brilliant tension.
Appearance: bright pale gold with silver hues.
Nose: ripe apple, fresh pear, quince, lemon zest, white flowers, subtle honey, dry herbs and a distinctive schist minerality.
Palate: generous yet structured, silky texture lifted by a vibrant saline tension. Flavours of white fruits, citrus, beeswax and gentle spice. Very long, chiselled, energetic finish.
Terraced vineyard on ancient schist slopes. Low yields. Natural fermentations, no additives, long aging on lees in old oak foudres. Full biodynamic farming resulting in a living, expressive wine.
Perfect with free-range poultry, noble fish, refined shellfish, Asian gastronomy, or aged cheeses such as goat’s cheese or Comté. Serve at 54–57°F (12–14°C).
A living, unique wine. Decant at least 1 hour when young. Exceptional aging potential: 20 to 40 years. A must-have for lovers of great biodynamic Chenin.
