Cloudy Bay : Chardonnay 2013
This Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2013 is a true pleasure wine like all the wines of Cloudy Bay.
Its limpid robe reveals a nose of white peach and spring flowers. We love its minerality, its perfect acidity and its amplitude. Definitely a great white wine that sums up the perfection of Cloudy Bay wines, often considered the best white wines in the world.
Its ideal location gives it a cool climate and plenty of sunshine means a long slow maturation.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Its screw cap perfectly defines this wine easy to open and drink. Ideal to accompany a white fish, our recipe idea is a meunière sole, they sublimate each other!
About Cloudy Bay: Founded in 1985, the winery takes its name from the bay at the eastern end of the Wairau Valley, which was named Cloudy Bay by Captain Cook during his trip to New Zealand in 1770. Cloudy Bay is one of the of the first five wineries established in the Marlborough area.
Cloudy Bay has helped put New Zealand on the map of the wine world, and to give to its wines, resulting from an approach made of innovation and freshness, their letters of nobility. Their consistent commitment to quality places Cloudy Bay's cellars at the forefront of the most respected producers.
The vineyard covers 200 hectares divided into 4 parcels located in different sub-regions of Malborough. The heart of production revolves around Sauvignon Blanc, which continues to make the reputation of Cloudy Bay wines, but Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are also produced.
