Clos l'Eglise 2012
Bordeaux - Pomerol - Red Wine -This Clos L'Eglise 2012 is probably one of the best wines of the Pomerol appellation, produced in one of the most prestigious properties of the appellation.
It was very well received by critics, Robert Parker rated it a 90/100, Wine Spectator a 92/100 and Decanter magazine a 17/20!
At 12Bouteilles, it's a wine we love. The blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc is vinification in small vats and 100% in new barrels where it is aged for 16 to 18 months to reach full ripeness.
Clos L'Eglise 2012 is wearing a purple dress with black highlights, its nose with notes of spice and black fruit accompanies its round mouth, rich and fruity in which expresses fine tannins and well integrated.
It is a wine of guard which will improve in cellar during many years.
Le conseil de 12bouteilles: Decant 2h before tasting, Merlots need to breathe! Serve around 17 °, it will be a perfect accompaniment for grilled red meat, or in sauce.
