Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 1er Cru Classé - Red Wine -In this excellent 2020 vintage, Clos Fourtet is a straightforward, precise wine with a lot of finesse, a beautiful balance between fruit and very elegant tannins.
This is a wine to keep in your cellar for many years but one that will charm those who love the very great wines of Saint Emilion in their youth!To the eye, the wine is crimson in colour with purple highlights
The nose reveals ripe black fruit, blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry, followed by woody and liquorice notes
The attack on the palate is straightforward and fruity, with good length and plenty of freshness. The finish is elegant with silky tannins.

The blend of the 2020 vintage is composed of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc
Maturing for the 2020 vintage was 16 months in French oak barrels, of which 50% in new barrels, 48% in one-wine barrels.
The 12bottle tip : A wine that deserves to wait a few years in your cellar before being opened. Decant the bottle at least 6 hours before, serve the wine chilled at around 18°c. This bottle will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
