Mendoza - Red Wine -In this 2021 vintage, Clos de Los Siete establishes itself as the ambassador of the AOP Valle de Uco, a high-altitude terroir shaped by the influence of the Andes Mountains. Here is the tasting we conducted:
The Appearance: deep red with violet and purple highlights.
The Nose: intense and complex, featuring aromas of black fruits (blackberries, blackcurrants), with subtle spicy and floral notes.
The Palate: broad, fleshy, and silky, with ripe tannins and pleasant freshness, ending in a long, spiced finish.
This 2021 cuvée of Clos de Los Siete is crafted from a blend of Malbec (52%), Merlot (21%), Syrah (15%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7%), Petit Verdot (3%), and Cabernet Franc (2%). Hand-harvested on the estates of the four partner wineries—Monteviejo, Cuvelier los Andes, DiamAndes, and Bodega Rolland—at over 1,000 meters altitude, the grapes are vinified under the guidance of Michel Rolland to preserve the purity of the fruit and ensure optimal concentration.
Elegant yet powerful, the 2021 cuvée embodies the harmony between varietal richness and the finesse imparted by altitude. The clear, precise aromas blend with a velvety texture, offering a wine that is both bold and balanced—perfect for marking special occasions.
