Cheval des Andes 2012
Red Wine -Cheval des Andes 2012 is a superb Great Argentine wine born from the meeting between two areas of exemption, Château Cheval Blanc, Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion and Argentinean domain Terrazas de Los Andes.
Founded in 1999 in one of the most renowned areas of Luján de Cuyo, north of Mendoza, Cheval des Andes stretches over an exceptional 50-hectare vineyard whose Malbec vines are sometimes 80 years old.
Made from 69% Malbec, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, Cheval des Andes 2012 is adorned with a beautiful bright red color with deep purple hues.
The nose is of great aromatic complexity with aromas of plum, blackberry and black cherries with hints of anise, liquorice and smoke.
On the palate, the attack is fruity and fleshy, the tannins are elegant combining freshness, balance and maturity leading to a lingering finish.
A powerful and sumptuous wine that perfectly embodies the Franco-Argentinean style and combines the know-how of the Château Cheval Blanc and the terroir of altitude of Terrazas de los Andes.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Pass this great wine in a carafe 2h, before serving it at a temperature of 16 ° C. Drink now, it can also be kept in the cellar for the most patient.
