Château VALANDRAUD 2016

Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 1er Cru Classé - Red Wine -

Château VALANDRAUD, Grand Cru of Saint-Emilion is owned by Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud, wine merchants whose desire was to own their own vineyard and produce their own wine.

This 2016 vintage, first one "Premier Grand Cru Classé", is already an immense wine hailed by the great tasters in oenology.

According to Valandraud, "he left for a great career and could be the greatest of all".

From a blend dominated by Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, Château VALANDRAUD 2016 is adorned with a dark, almost black color.

Its nose is elegant, fresh and very fine, of a beautiful power, an aromatic bouquet with aromas of blackberries and strawberries accompanied by notes of creme de cassis and flowers. The second nose releases notes of coffee and pepper.

On the palate, the palate is fruity, with aromas of blackberry, raspberry and blackcurrant followed by a toasty oakiness and beautiful notes of spices, cocoa and caramel. The finish is long and persistent.

A beautiful early 2016, elegant, a very nice structure with great harmony and finesse.

The advice of 12bouteilles: Château VALANDRAUD 2016 is already a great wine, powerful, we advise you to decant 1 to 2 hours before tasting.
