Château Tayac 2008 is an excellent Cru Bourgeois from Château Tayac, a vineyard located north of Margaux in the Médoc on 37 hectares of land.
Four generations of the Portet family succeed to keep the estate and produce quality wines. This 2008 vintage, ready to be tasted, is made from a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. It was rated 90/100 by Wine Spectator, famous wine critic. There are beautiful aromas of fruit typical of Margaux, with a beautiful complexity.
His dress is dark almost black and has pretty tangerine highlights. Its nose is complex with aromas of toasted almonds and cocoa. In the mouth, the attack is firm and generous, the finish is open, almost mineral with hints of liquorice. An elegant and charming 2008 vintage! Without a doubt a quality wine that will please your guests.
The advice of 12bouteilles: To drink now, decant 1/2 hour before serving. This Margaux marries wonderfully with a rib of Beauf with porcini mushrooms.
