Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2007
Classified for its red wines and white wines, Château Smith Haut Lafitte is today one of the greatest Cru Classé of Pessac Léognan.
The 2007 vintage is a marvel. In 12 bottles we love Bordeaux this year. The Pessac Léognan do not derogate by the rule. Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2007 is a silky red, mineral, with beautiful notes of black fruits and cassis in particular.
For many critics it is one of the most beautiful successes of the appellation for the vintage with great aging potential. For us it is sleep and already to drink will be delicious for another 5 to 7 years (2015-2023).
The wines of the Château are 100% biodynamic and vinified in barrels "house" which gives them a unique signature recognizable in 1000.
The advice of 12bouteilles: They will accompany ideally a red meat braised or roasted but the advice of 12bouteilles is to innovate a little with a more atypical association: Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2007 and trout in foil.
