Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2015
The whites of Château Smith Haut Lafitte's 2015 vintage are some of the greatest successes of the Cathiard family since their arrival at the head of this Graves Cru Classé. Cultivated biodynamically as all the estate's wines, the whites of the 2015 vintage are to drink now (2018-2022).
Made from a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Gris, the wine is aged on lees for 12 months (50% new barrels).
Tasting: This is a very great wine, bold, powerful and complex, with an exceptional aromatic palette that goes from flowers to brioche through citrus fruit, white fruit or gunflint.
It is for us one of the greatest white wines of Bordeaux. Of a sublime freshness, a very beautiful density distinguishes this white of stature, unctuous, marked by a fine salinity ... the ideal harmony.
