In this 2024 vintage, the Fantastique Rosé cuvée from Château Sainte Marguerite stands out as one of the finest expressions of the AOP Côtes de Provence, a historic terroir between land and sea. Here is the tasting we conducted:
The Appearance: a pearly pink with bright golden highlights.
The Nose: a balance between rich aromas of white peach and pear, punctuated by exotic nuances of lychee, passion fruit, and a hint of grapefruit zest.
The Palate: aromatic freshness with citrus and floral notes (rose, a touch of jasmine), extended by a lovely length on the finish.
This 2024 vintage from Château Sainte Marguerite is crafted from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle. The grapes, harvested in September 2024, underwent rigorous sorting before a cold skin maceration and gentle pressing. Thermoregulated vinification and tank aging on fine lees, followed by fining and light filtration, preserve the fruit’s purity and finesse while showcasing the estate’s expertise.
Elegant and highly precise, this 2024 Fantastique cuvée—certified organic (FR BIO 01 Ecocert) and vegan—embodies the harmony between the generosity of the Mediterranean climate and the freshness imparted by marine influence. The aromas are clear and precise, while the palate offers a refined balance of acidity, roundness, and minerality, the signature of La Londe’s argillaceous-siliceous terroir structured by pebbles and shattered quartz.
12bouteilles' Recommendation: Serve ideally between 8 and 10 °C. Perfect with morel-sauced poultry, grilled red meats, or ginger- and chili-spiced Asian cuisine, such as ginger-sesame spiced tuna tataki. A versatile rosé to enjoy as an aperitif or with gourmet dishes; cellar 4 to 5 years.
