Grand Vin de Reignac 2011
Grand vin de Reignac 2011 is a fabulous wine from the Château Reignac whose owners are Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot.
This Bordeaux Supérieur is made from Merlot grapes (75%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). On average, the vines are 40 years old. The winemaking process is carried out in small thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, batch by batch and varietals by grape variety and aging in 100% French oak barrels to soften the tannins and bring aromas of spice and truffle to the finish.
It is a complete Bordeaux, of a large and tasty material. It offers a dense purple color with aromas of new leather, spice box, pencil lead, blackcurrant, blackberries and a hint of espresso. This majestic and rich wine has aromas of complex Cassis and spices as well as floral notes. The mouth is fine and elegant.
This 2011 vintage received the 92/100 rating by critic Robert Parker: "This Bordeaux Supérieur of the talented and uncompromising Yves Vatelot is a selection of the most beautiful parcels. This surprisingly rich and concentrated 2011 competes with classified growths 2 to 5 times more Le Reignac 2011 is a reference of the vintage, congratulations to the owner!
