Château Puech-Haut, La 40ème 2017 rouge

Languedoc - Languedoc - Red Wine -

This 2017 vintage of the 40ème red cuvée from Château Puech-Haut is made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache.
This 2017 vintage is adorned with an intense color of cherry color.
The nose is a bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, undergrowth with a slightly woody finish.
On the palate, the attack is generous and balanced, with beautiful flavors of black fruits and notes of liquorice. It is a complex and expressive red with velvety tannins.

The 40ème cuvée is vinified without sulphiting with pre-fermentation cold macerations in whole grapes followed by traditional vinification in barrels without yeast. Aging in new barrels. Slight sulphiting at bottling.

The 40ème is an exceptional cuvée, it is a balanced and powerful red wine with long aging potential, a great wine produced by Château Puech-Haut, a must in the Languedoc appellation.

The advice of 12bouteilles: A Languedoc with good aging potential, to be enjoyed from 2022 and until 2035, at a temperature of around 15°C. Decant it at least 2 hours before serving. It will be perfect with your red meats, game, duck...
