Château Prieuré-Lichine 2012
The vineyard of Château Prieuré-Lichine, Margaux's 4th Cru Classé, covers 77.5 hectares in the heart of the Margaux appellation. The winemaker, Etienne Charrier, produces wines with elegant and racy profiles.
This Château Prieuré-Lichine 2012 comes from a blend of vines whose vines are on average 30 years old, composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. The quality of Cabernet Sauvignon is particularly remarkable with a very good concentration.
This 2012 vintage has a dark color with violet hues. Its nose delivers an aromatic bouquet of ripe red fruits, accompanied by notes of mint, spices, slightly toasted. On the palate, the attack is sweet and the tannins velvety.A powerful, well balanced wine that offers a nice finish.
This great wine is a great success, to be enjoyed now and until 2035.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Open it at least 30 minutes before serving. This Château Prieuré-Lichine 2012 is a marvelous accompaniment to meat and poultry, we suggest you to taste it with a roasted Pigeon with garlic and a fricassee of mushrooms.
"It's a great success in the vintage, able to last 20 years or more." - Robert Parker
