Bordeaux - Pomerol - Red Wine -In this 2020 vintage, Château Petit-Village, Pomerol has produced a very great vintage, a very concentrated, powerful wine, rated 97-98 by James Suckling.
The nose is very expressive with concentrated, ripe black fruit and floral notes, particularly violet.
The palate is full, generous, fleshy and greedy. A fresh attack, the texture of the mid-palate is enveloping with black fruit (plum, blackcurrant) and reveals a precise tannic structure and a finesse that is both elegant and full-bodied.
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 60% Merlot 32% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2020 vintage was matured for 16 months in oak barrels, 50% of which were new and a small proportion in amphora.
