Fleur Pedesclaux 2014 is a Cru Classé of Château Pedesclaux in the Pauillac appellation, Left Bank of Bordeaux. Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, this excellent wine is a reference in the field.
This 2014 vintage has an intense, almost black color. Its nose is complex revealing smoky notes of blackcurrant, chocolate, muscades and nuts as well as scents of bilberries and morello cherries. On the palate, the attack is greedy, with a beautiful structure, notes of complex fruit aromas, milk caramel and cocoa. The tannins are fine, silky.
This vintage is a great wine harmonious and structured.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Open it at least an hour before tasting. It will marry wonderfully with meat in sauce or game.
