Crafted from the same limestone terroirs and with the same precision, it offers a more approachable expression of Pavie’s powerful style while retaining depth, balance and freshness. The 2022 vintage stands out for its controlled ripeness and refined structure.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, vibrant purple.
Nose: expressive and inviting, with black cherry, blackberry, ripe raspberry, soft liquorice, fine spices and a chalky mineral touch.
Palate: broad and generous, supported by silky, well-integrated tannins. Dense yet balanced, with vibrant freshness and a long, elegant finish.
Terroir & Blend
Iconic Saint-Émilion limestone plateau and slopes. Blend dominated by Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, providing structure, tension and complexity.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes, strict selection and parcel-by-parcel vinification. Aged in French oak barrels with a carefully controlled proportion of new oak to preserve balance and terroir expression.
Food Pairings
Perfect with roasted meats, veal fillet, lamb, sauced dishes, fine cuisine or aged cheeses. Serve at 60–63°F (16–17°C). Decant for 1 hour when young.
