Château Pape Clément 2009
Château Pape Clément 2009 is without a doubt one of the greatest vintage produced at the Château.
Rated 99/100 by Parker who is complimentary about this vintage:
Pape Clement struts flamboyantly out of the glass, featuring beautifully opulent black fruits, Morello cherries and Chinese five spice with underlying notions of truffles, iron ore and tobacco and waft of sandalwood. Full-bodied, the voluptuous fruit has a firm foundation of super ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness supporting layer of black fruit, exotic spices and earth-laced flavors, finishing very long.
This 2009 vintage comes from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon for 45%, Merlot for 50% and Petit Verdot for 5%.
The Château Pape Clément 2009 presents an incredible structure and magnificent tannins. On the nose, it develops aromas of scorched earth, graphite, blueberries, blackberries and vanilla notes. This rather full-bodied wine is of great richness
It is a great Pessac-Léognan expansive, tasty and deep. Particularly successful, it will be easily affordable in its early years and can flourish for at least 20 years.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Open and decant this bottle at least 2 hours before tasting. Accompany it with a beautiful piece of red meat and enjoy!
