Château Mouton Rothschild 2008
Bordeaux - Pauillac - 1er Cru Classé - Red Wine -Château Mouton Rothschild is an emblematic Château, 1st Cru Classé of Pauillac. Property of the Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, the estate covers 84 hectares of vineyards in an exceptional terroir. Mouton Rothschild is renowned for being one of the greatest wines in the world and this 2008 vintage is no exception.
Made from a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot, Château Mouton Rothschild 2008 has an intense nose of violet and crushed red fruits (blackberry and blackcurrant). The second nose has empyreumatic notes mingling with the woody new barrel. In the mouth, the attack is powerful and complex with a brilliant acidity. The tannins are firm and have flavors of roasted fruit, toast and chocolate.
The advice of 12bouteilles: This magnificent Rothschild Sheep can be tasted now but you will not be disappointed by keeping it two good decades in the cellar, until 2045.
