Dame de Montrose 2019
Bordeaux - Saint-Estèphe - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -In this 2019 vintage, the Dame de Montrose is more accessible than its elder Château Montrose, it is made with a balance between Merlots and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a round, supple wine with ready-to-drink tannins.
To the eye, the color is ruby red, almost black with purple reflections.
On the nose it is a mixture of black fruits and spices that emerge then there are woody and vanilla aromas.
On the palate, the attack is frank, all in roundness, fruity and harmonious ending with powerful tannins.
Blend : 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.
Ageing : 30% in new French oak barrels for 12 months.
The advice of 12bouteilles : Decant the bottle at least 6 hours before tasting it, serve the wine chilled around 16-18°c. It will go perfectly with your red meats, game meat and cheese platters.
In Saint-Estèphe appellation, you could also like Chateau Lafon Rochet, Château Phélan-Ségur, Château Haut-Marbuzet, Château Montrose and Château Cos d'Estournel.
