Château Lynch-Moussas 2022 delivers a classic, refined and age-worthy expression of Pauillac in a perfectly controlled warm vintage. As a Fifth Growth since 1855 and owned by the Castéja family (Borie-Manoux), the estate is known for its straight, precise and balanced style. The 2022 vintage shows fine density, remarkable freshness and a refined tannic structure, promising excellent aging potential.
Appearance: deep garnet with purple highlights, dense and brilliant.
Nose: clean and expressive, revealing blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry, complemented by graphite, cedar, gentle spices, blond tobacco and subtle smoky notes.
Palate: straight and harmonious, with a dense yet elegant core supported by fine, ripe and perfectly integrated tannins. Pauillac freshness brings tension and length to a long, refined and persistent finish.
The vineyards of Château Lynch-Moussas lie on deep gravel mounds of the Pauillac plateau, ensuring excellent drainage and even ripening. The 2022 blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc, delivering structure, verticality and aromatic finesse.
Hand-harvested grapes with meticulous sorting. Traditional vinification with long, carefully managed macerations to extract noble tannins without hardness. Aged in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated.
Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, dry-aged beef, rack of lamb, game or refined sauced dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
Château Lynch-Moussas 2022 is a classic, approachable Pauillac. Enjoyable now with aeration, it will evolve gracefully gaining complexity and refined tertiary nuances.
