Château Ormes de Pez 2017

Bordeaux - Saint-Estèphe - Cru Bourgeois - Red Wine -

Château Les Ormes de Pez is a 35-hectare wine-growing estate located in Saint-Estèphe. Owned by the Cazes family who also own Château Lynch Bages in Pauillac.

These wines are reputed to be powerful and distinguished by their harmony. The typical elegance of Saint-Estèphe blends perfectly with the roundness and fleshy side of these wines. This Ormes de Pez 2017 vintage is no exception to the rule.

Wine Advocate (Robert Parker) Tasting Notes: 90/100
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Ormes de Pez features black cherries and cassis notions over a core of fragrant earth, stewed tea and tobacco plus a waft of forest floor. Medium-bodied, the palate is packed with juicy black fruit with a grainy texture and long, mineral-tinged finish.

The advice for 12 bottles: This is a young wine, decant it at least 1hour before tasting to release its aromas. Serve chilled at 17° it will perfectly accompany game and meat in sauce.
