Les Ormes de Pez 2008

Bordeaux - Saint-Estèphe - Cru Bourgeois - Red Wine -

This 2008 vintage Château Ormes de Pez is a Bourgeois Cru with exceptional quality. Like all the wines of the castle, they receive the same care and the same application as the grand cru classé of the Cazes family, Château Lynch Bages.

Château Ormes de Pez 2008 is a Médoc wine from the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The grape varieties, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and, to a lesser extent, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vines are planted on stony gravel soil, harvested by hand and then benefit from a Bordeaux vinification and ripening in new oak barrels.

This 2008 vintage Château Ormes de Pez is a sweet wine, tannic and fleshy density, full of pleasure. A garnet color, a nose with fruity aromas but an intensity that remains measured. His mouth is tender to the light body and delicate woody. The finish is long and pointed. This wine of guard is today in its peak and still until 2023, so do not hesitate to take advantage of it now.

The advice of 12bouteilles: Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before tasting. Serve around 15 ° for an optimal tasting. Try with a fried ceps or a roast beef.
