Château Latour-Martillac White 2022 is one of the historic benchmarks for dry white wines of Pessac-Léognan. As a Classified Growth of Graves, the estate benefits from outstanding deep gravel and sandy soils over clay-limestone subsoils, delivering freshness, aromatic purity and mineral precision. The well-balanced 2022 vintage offers elegance, tension and remarkable harmony.
Appearance: pale yellow with silver highlights.
Nose: refined and expressive, showing ripe citrus (lemon, grapefruit), white-fleshed fruits, peach, floral notes, boxwood, flinty minerality and a delicate touch of toast.
Palate: lively yet generous, with a taut, precise attack followed by increasing roundness and volume. Excellent balance between freshness, texture and minerality leads to a long, saline and elegant finish.
The vineyards of Château Latour-Martillac lie on deep gravel mounds mixed with sandy soils, ensuring excellent drainage and gradual ripening. The 2022 blend is dominated by Sauvignon Blanc, complemented by Sémillon, delivering aromatic brightness, tension and depth.
Hand-harvested grapes with strict selection. Gentle pressing followed by partial fermentation in French oak barrels. Aging on fine lees with regular bâtonnage enhances complexity, texture and finesse while preserving terroir expression.
Perfect with oysters, seafood, noble fish, shellfish, creamy poultry dishes or aged goat cheeses. Serve at 50–54 °F (10–12 °C).
Château Latour-Martillac White 2022 is a refined, gastronomic Pessac-Léognan white. Superb in its youth, it can also age gracefully gaining complexity and aromatic depth.
