Known for producing rich, powerful wines, this estate delivers a wine of depth, refined structure and saline freshness characteristic of the Médoc. The 2022 vintage stands out for its intense fruit, elegant tannins and remarkable balance between power and finesse.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, almost opaque ruby with purple highlights.
Nose: expressive and complex with blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry, supported by grilled notes, graphite, fine spices, blond tobacco and subtle smoky touches, enhanced by delicate floral nuances.
Palate: broad, structured and rich. Dense material supported by powerful yet elegant tannins. Saline freshness typical of Saint-Estèphe adds tension and length, leading to a long, harmonious and persistent finish.
Terroir & Blend
Deep gravel soils over clay-limestone subsoils in Saint-Estèphe ensure excellent drainage and balanced ripening. The blend for 2022 is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by a significant portion of Merlot, with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, providing structure and complexity.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes with meticulous sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification in temperature-controlled tanks with long, controlled macerations to extract depth and finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a carefully calibrated proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated to enhance structure without overshadowing fruit expression.
Food Pairings
Pairs beautifully with grilled or roasted red meats, dry-aged steak, lamb rack, game birds or refined sauced dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 2–3 hours when young to fully unlock aromatic complexity.
