La Parde de Haut Bailly 2013
Bordeaux - Pessac-Leognan - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -Excellent concentration, softness, suppleness, elegance and roundness.
La Parde Haut-Bailly 2013 is the second wine of Château Haut-Bailly, located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation in the Bordeaux region. Made from the same plots as the fisrt wine Château Haut-Bailly, La Parde Haut-Bailly is vinified identically.
This 2013 vintage is the result of a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
The nose releases aromas of berries, cherries, raspberries with floral and spicy notes. Elegant and tasty, the palate is slightly full-bodied with fine, silky tannins. A light and delicate vintage with crisp acidity and a lively finish.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Drinkable young, La Parde Haut-Bailly nevertheless benefits from an excellent Gard potential for a second wine, approximately 10 years in cellar or more. It marries wonderfully with duck confit.
