G de Château Guiraud 2016
G de Château Guiraud 2016 is a Bordeaux dry white wine of Sauternes. This is not the second wine of Château Guiraud but its dry white wine of great success.
For us it is one of the best dry white wines of Bordeaux, an excellent quality-price ratio, proof again that a "Great Wine is not necessarily a Wine Cher".
Made from a blend of 30% Sémillon and 70% Sauvignon grapes, it is a fruity white (exotic fruits, white-fleshed fruits), to drink young as soon as they are bottled. This vintage is produced by Xavier Planty and Michel Liessi, from young vines (under 20 years old).
This 2016 vintage is adorned with a bright pale yellow color. The nose is expressive and delivers citrus scents with woody notes and a nice minerality. On the palate, crisp with notes of lemongrass, the palate reveals aromas of exotic fruits and white flowers.
It is a complex, round wine, rich in fruit and Sauternes aromas without being neither sweet nor sweet. A white dry pleasure, a great freshness. Château Guiraud's G production has been organic since the 2014 vintage.
The advice of 12bouteilles: To drink now and in 2 to 3 years, open the bottle at the time of tasting, cool, at about 10 ° C. This wine goes well with summer dishes, fish, shellfish and seafood, it is also perfect as an aperitif.
