Founded by Henri Martin, the estate is renowned for producing complete, generous and consistent wines. Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, bright purple.
Nose: expressive and appealing with blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry, complemented by cedar, graphite, gentle spice and subtle floral notes.
Palate: broad and harmonious with dense texture and fine, ripe tannins. The balance between richness and freshness is excellent, leading to a long, precise and elegant finish typical of great Saint-Julien wines.
Terroir & Blend
Deep gravel soils of Saint-Julien over clay-limestone subsoils ensure optimal drainage and even ripening. The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Petit Verdot, delivering balance, complexity and aging potential.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes with strict sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification with carefully controlled macerations to extract depth and finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new oak, enhancing structure without overshadowing fruit purity.
Food Pairings
Perfect with grilled or roasted red meats, dry-aged beef, lamb, poultry or refined sauced dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
