Château Fleur Cardinale 2018

Château Fleur Cardinale, a 23-hectare Grand Cru Classé de Saint Émilion owned by Dominique and Florence Decoster, former owners of Haviland porcelain in Limoges. Situated on the hillsides, clay-limestone soil on a rocky background, facing south-south-east, the vineyard is composed of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Thanks to investments and major work carried out, under the direction of Jean-Luc Thunevin, then Jean-Philippe Fort. Made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 vintage is a sure bet.
Tasting notes:
Colour: deep purple-garnet colour.
Nose: unveils fruity and candied aromas as well as fragrances with hints of bay leaves, moss covered bark and forest floor.
In the mouth: Full-bodied and loaded with black fruit jams enhanced by earth and dried herbs, structured with silky tannins and freshness for a long finish.
The advice of 12bouteilles : Château Fleur Cardinale 2018 is the perfect accompaniment to game or red meat.
