La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou 2022 is the flagship second wine of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. Sourced from carefully selected parcels of the Saint-Julien appellation, it delivers a more approachable expression of the estate’s style while retaining precision, freshness and refined elegance.
Appearance: deep, bright purple.
Nose: clean and expressive with blackcurrant, blackberry, dark cherry, floral notes, graphite and subtle oak.
Palate: broad and harmonious with fine, silky tannins. Dense yet balanced, supported by vibrant freshness and a long, elegant finish.
Deep gravel soils typical of Saint-Julien, influenced by the Gironde estuary. Blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot, providing structure, roundness and complexity.
Hand-harvested grapes, strict selection and parcel-by-parcel vinification. Aged in French oak barrels with a controlled proportion of new oak to preserve fruit purity and terroir expression.
Perfect with roasted beef, veal chop, lamb, mushroom dishes, bistro cuisine or aged cheeses. Serve at 60–63°F (16–17°C). Decant for 1 hour.
La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou 2022 delivers the elegance of Ducru in an accessible, refined style. Enjoy now with aeration or cellar for 12–20 years.
